Happy Birthday, Edison!
Edison turns one today! He’s learned a lot in his first year. Now he can:
- wave bye-bye
- scoot backwards on his tummy
- recognize the names of things he loves: book, cookie jar, mixer
- do what he’s told (sometimes) including “clap” and “show me your tongue”
- sign some words: more, milk, eat, bird, flower, and change (as in “diaper” -- very important)
Edison’s addiction to books is VERY healthy -- sometimes he cries if he sees a book or hears the word and we don’t read to him right away.
Besides being a bookworm, he is also a budding sound artist, pounding on xylophone, keyboard and toy telephone. He also does sound effects!
Though not much of a jock yet, Eddie does enjoy bungee jumping (Jolly Jumper) and equestrian sports (rocking horse).
Below is a video of some of our favorite moments from this year. Hopefully, everyone will able to watch it! It might take several minutes to download. On our computer, it worked best to click “play” so that it begins to download, quickly click “stop”, and wait until the download is complete before hitting “play” again.
Thanks for coming to the virtual party!
